Gary was born in Japan to a military family and raised for most of his childhood in
Europe. Converted to Christ at 10, he preached his first sermon at 16 in another denomination.
After a few years in the business world, Gary became convinced of Reformed Theology,
eventually becoming a part of the PCA. He was the organizing pastor of a church outside
Charlotte and then pastored in Lexington, NC, for over 12 years before serving at Briarwood
Presbyterian in Birmingham, AL.
Gary then answered a call from Faith Presbyterian Church in Gainesville, FL where he
and Rita ministered until moving to Muncie and Westminster Presbyterian.
In 2007, Gary received a Doctor of Ministry (DMin) degree from Reformed Theological Seminary.
They enjoy four grown children, some living in Birmingham, AL and others in South Carolina
